Fully Funded PhD Positions · Spring & Fall 2027

MAI Lab is recruiting fully funded PhD students for Spring and Fall 2027 through the Computer Science Program and Robotics Program at the Colorado School of Mines.

PhD students can expect hands-on research guidance, close support toward publishing in top conferences and journals, access to GPU resources, and opportunities to build exchange or internship experience with top universities and industry partners.

Master's and Visiting Students

MAI Lab is open to mentoring master's students and visiting students who are excited about visual intelligence, physical AI, and engineered systems.

Visiting students and master's students can expect close day-to-day mentorship, project ownership, publication-oriented research training, and exposure to broader academic and industry networks.

MAI Lab is open to collaboration on papers, datasets, benchmarks, grants, and funding opportunities.

We welcome collaborators from academia, medicine, and industry working on visual intelligence, medical AI, physical AI, and engineered systems.
